What started as a simple request for a product-focused magazine ad turned into a unique opportunity to stand out in a sea of competition. I suggested an unexpected approach: being more focused on our pro anglers, rather than just showing the typical product sales pitch. This change in perspective led to a cohesive and creative execution of how to promote our brand during one of the largest fishing events of the year—the BAssmaster Classic. My illustration of the anglers was used in a magazine ad, on social media, and was pitched as signage in the brand booth at the event.
